| From the gates, sits a beautiful cobbled plaza. In the heart, a bubbling fountain in the shape of a unicorn spits water from the horn. Town children often come in the heat of the afternoon to play in the fountain, until the adults chase them away with whips…
Trees, willow and apple (as well as lilac and pear), dot the cobbled piazza, surrounded by iron fences to keep out the youngsters. The local florists have also had a time planting beautiful rose bushes, and poppies, but the work was well worth it; as the summer in Lovlyn's town square is always a colorful one.
Tiny carts, sporting souvenirs and candies, dot the square, where children or adults alike can buy handcrafted goodies. Visitors to the town are encouraged to buy a memento, so that Lovlyn travels in the hearts of thousands…in the shape of a little toy horse, or a candy stick.
From the centerpiece, sprouts paths and sidewalks, leading throughout the township. Shops of all sorts dot the town, and farther out into the country, lie the local homes; all built neatly and carefully. Signs from pubs, taverns, and small businesses dangle on metal bars, and squeak in the humid breezes. What town wouldn’t be complete without them…? | |
